My Vegan Journey — A Path Guided by Grace

For the last fifteen years, I have lived as a vegan — but my journey did not begin there. Before this transformation, I was a non-vegetarian. Today, from the depths of my heart, I offer my apologies to all the animal-people whose suffering I was once unaware of.

My life was rooted in spirituality. I spent hours chanting, praying, and reading God’s sacred mantras. Over time, I developed a deep sensitivity to the unseen — to energies, to intentions, to vibrations. I believed I understood devotion… until destiny opened a new door.

At that time, my career was flourishing. I served as a principal and coordinator, and I wrote English, Maths, and Science books for young learners. I was proud of my achievements. Life seemed settled.

Then, one ordinary day, something extraordinary happened.

By chance, I saw a video of Supreme Master Ching Hai. It was less than a minute — yet in those few seconds, a surge of energy touched me in a way that countless visits to temples and gurudwaras never had. It felt like my soul had been silently waiting for this moment.

My curiosity became a pull, almost magnetic. When I read Master’s introductory book, that same divine sensation washed over me again. I met my two school friends, and with an unshakable certainty I told them:
“Master is not an ordinary person. She is the One my soul recognizes.”

When I learned about initiation, I knew I wanted it with every fiber of my being. One of the precepts required going vegan. I didn’t hesitate for a moment. I turned vegan instantly. Three months later, I was blessed with initiation.

As I began reading about veganism, something awakened in me. The more I learned, the deeper I fell in love with this compassionate way of living. I started speaking to people, showing presentations, raising awareness. But I sensed a deep emptiness in the availability of vegan food — a gap that needed to be filled.

Without realizing it, my attachment to academics slowly dissolved, and my heart anchored itself in veganism. During a visit to Taiwan, I asked for permission to open Loving Hut in India. That moment changed my life.

I knew I couldn’t sail in two boats. With faith as my only guide, I left my academic career — everything I had built — and stepped into the food world. I became a recipe developer, creating dishes with my chef team. But in my heart, I know the truth:
Every recipe, every idea, every success is Master’s. I am only Her instrument.

This journey has been far from easy. We survived three waves of Covid, each time starting from nothing, each time rebuilding with trembling hands but unwavering hearts.

But despite every challenge — I remain standing.

Because veganism is not a choice for me.
It is my breath. It is my purpose.
It is the mission I will serve until my final moment on this Earth.

And if even one soul chooses compassion because of my journey, then every struggle has been worth it.
